Together, they oversee hive management and sustainable beekeeping practices, ensuring colony health and responsible harvesting methods. Michelle focuses on quality control, labeling, and sharing the story of their bees with customers at farmers’ markets and community events. Together they prioritize transparency, traceability, and minimal handling so every jar reflects the unique flavor of the bayou.

Their commitment goes beyond honey—Jared and Michelle advocate for pollinator habitat preservation, support local growers, and mentor beginning beekeepers. Jared is a certified mentor with Hives for Heroes Louisiana.
